Securi Security Website Hacked Report 2016 – Q1

Securi Security offers a great plugin for WordPress security. WordPress is great, it lets you design & develop websites in relatively short periods of time (compared to 10 years ago). The biggest problem – WordPress is easy to hack! Super simple to use, but not very secure. Securi Security is trying to change that, and that’s why they offer a free plugin, and lots of free info.

Recently, Securi released a website hacked report based on data collected and analyzed by the Sucuri Remediation Group (RG). This report analyzed over 11k infected websites and includes statistics associated with:

Redirect non-www to www or vice versa with .htaccess or Apache or Nginx

Something we always have to do with new or old sites is add, for Florida SEO purposes, a redirect of non-www to www, or www to non-www (https://thebarton.org instead of https://www.thebarton.org). The reason being, Google sees thebarton.org and www.thebarton.org as two different sites and we’d get penalized for having duplicate content should someone put out a link to our site using one or the other.

The solution being, choose which one you want to have redirect – non-www to www or www to non-www. The choice is yours. It’s really just a personal preference for me to not use www in front of my
