Back in the dark ages, you know, before the internet, businesses just needed to make sure they were listed in the yellow pages of the good old phone book. Today people go to the internet to find businesses and there are countless platforms for them to search. Most people are familiar with the big search engines like Google and Bing, but there are lots of other platforms that people use to search and discover businesses. It can be an overwhelming process to make sure that the listings for your company are up-to-date and accurate across all these platforms.
I’m not fan of the command line. But it’s necessary if you want to get things done. Any linux / mac command line user should know how to use the rm command. But what if you want the files to go to the trash can instead? Here’s how to do that on mac.
First, get yourself brew
ruby -e “$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/master/install)”
Then all you have to do is this:
brew install trash
From then on, all you have to do is type:
trash my-file.txt
Your file will then be moved into the trash can. What if you want to use
It’s not you, it’s Google. There’s a Google bug where pages aren’t being properly indexed. But Google is working on a fix.

Drupal is the best. I love WordPress, but Drupal is better when working with larger projects. It handles the css, js and modules so much cleaner than WordPress. But since there are so many things you can do in Drupal, you might not know how to do everything.
How to add javascript to the front page
/** * Implementation of hook_init(). */ function YOURMODULE_init() { if(drupal_is_front_page()) { // drupal_add_js() // // or // //
Instagram’s ad business is growing up fast thanks to a boost of new technology from Facebook. Today, the popular photo-sharing app with more than 300 million users and counting is opening up to potentially millions of advertisers, with more ad styles and sophisticated targeting tools first honed by its parent company.
Instagram is launching ads with “Shop Now” buttons and other messages that link outside the app so users can take marketable action. Also, there’s a new API—software platform—that lets marketing partners automate the advertising process.
The API comes polished—able to manage, track and measure marketing campaigns—thanks to borrowed technology
It’s been a long time coming, but Facebook has finally granted users the power to communicate in GIFs on the social network.
The company has quietly rolled out an update that lets GIFs play natively within the News Feed. Just copy the URL of your favorite moving image, post it in the status update bar and watch it appear in all its hypnotic glory.
Tests seemed to indicate that the functionality doesn’t yet work in comments, so we’re still a ways away from being able to respond to a lame status update with Kanye un-smiling.

The Google-Twitter partnership is now live, with tweets showing up in mobile search results today. The rivals have gotten closer in recent months as Twitter looks for a bigger audience to share all its content—and ads—and Google looks for more ties to social media.
Searches for popular topics now return Google’s typical results and a side-scrolling stream of related tweets.
“If you’re interested in hearing more from Taylor Swift, a quick search on Google will pull up her most recent Tweets,” Twitter said in its announcement. “Or, if you’re a TV buff, a search
A couple of years ago, the apparel industry was abuzz about Me-Ality, a tech startup from Nova Scotia, Canada, with a radical proposition: If 3-D digital scanning booths could size you up at airport security, then why couldn’t they measure you for the perfect-fitting pair of jeans?
Me-Ality’s large, hexagonal booths did, in fact, look a lot like the ones you’d find at Chicago O’Hare or LAX, only these devices were set up at retail locations. Inside, an electronic wand would make several rotations around a standing subject, using radio waves to collect 200,000 body measurements.
Following years of speculation about the demise of desktop-based search, Google is officially announcing today that for the first time, more searches come from smartphones and tablets than from laptops and desktops.
Smartphones account for more than half of searches in 10 countries—including the U.S. and Japan—according to Google, which didn’t release exact percentages or a full list of countries. But it is playing up mobile at its annual AdWords Performance Summit, being live-streamed this afternoon.
“The purchase funnel is officially dead,” proclaimed Jerry Dischler, vp of product management at Google. “What we’re seeing are
